Evelyn is an enthusiastic Fantasy (and sometimes Sci-Fi) writer from Michigan. Evelyn always dreamed of publishing "someday". She started writing in middle school for her own enjoyment, but began writing in earnest in December of 2019. Since then, she has made connections with other writers and found a support structure that helps her creativity flourish. Evelyn enjoys working on multiple projects and is currently editing one manuscript while drafting another.

    Evelyn considers herself a “discovery writer”, although she doesn’t object to the term “pantser”. Before she begins writing, she likes to have a deep understanding of her main character, a major conflict for them to overcome, and an understanding of how that’s likely to change them. Plot is important and world building is just plain *fun*, but character and conflict are the heart of any story. As far as Evelyn is concerned, the rest is frosting.

    When she isn’t writing, Evelyn spends most of her time with her family, her dog Zeke, and her cat Kedzie. She considers her family the most important thing in her life. Evelyn refills her creative well by reading, gaming, listening to music, and playing with yarn.
